Friendly - well behaved dogs are welcome on the site, on the condition that they are kept under control. We reserve the right to ask for dogs causing discomfort to other guests to be kept on a lead at our discretion.
Please note that for health and safety , you must clear up after your dog immediately - you will be asked to leave if this is not adhered to.
Maximium number of dogs per pitch is 3.
Many people are worried about using compost loos. Our Loos are Thunderboxes, have a proper seat and do not smell at all if used properly.
To use them sit forward to wee (even gents need to sit down), the urine goes down to our septic tank. There is a watering can to 'flush' away the urine.
To poo sit back and any paper goes into the Thunderbox with the poo, once finished cover the paper and poo with sawdust and close the seat.
Please do not put any nappies / sanitary products into the toilet, bins are provided for anything of this type.
The sawdust absorbs any smell and quickly dries out the poo.
We also have a urinal for the boys.. and again a watering can to use as a flush.
We have increased our cleaning timetable, providing hand sanitiser, anti-viral wipes in each toilet, and spray all surfaces with disinfectant once a day in addition to the normal cleaning regime.
Solar showers depend on the sun to provide heat which warms the water for showering.
We now have a much larger solar shower system to cater for all our guests, however we are still dependant on the sun.
If we do have cloudy conditions with no sun for a number of days then our showers will be cool.
For our large family pitch (20x10m) the price is £45 per night, maximum 8 persons (4 adults included in the price ). Additional adults are charged at £5 per night.
For our smaller pitch (10x10m - still larger than most other campsites!) , the price is £25 per night, maximum 4 persons (2 adults included in the price). Additional adults are charged at £5 per night.
All prices include up to 3 well-behaved dogs and 1 car. Please contact us if you have more than one car as we can usually accommodate an extra vehicle in our car park.
Please contact us if you are unsure whether you will need more than one pitch. We will always try to allocate pitches together if more than one pitch is required.

Please contact us if you are a large group or family or need advice, we will always try to accommodate wherever possible, however we do not take parties as we are a quiet site with strict noise policies.
Please note we do not take groups where there are under 18s unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We do not have any seasonal pitches available for caravans or caravan storage and do not have long term availability outside of May to September.
We have bricks and slabs available for disposable BBQs, please use them - although it is explicitly the responsibility of the guests to keep any open flames under complete control.
We also allow fire-pits, these are available to hire at £4 per night, we also sell kindling and logs at Reception.
We do not allow campfires without a fire pit.
Please dispose of any BBQ coals in our recycling site.
Please note no music or loud noise after 10pm - our site is for peace and quiet and we need our sleep!
We reserve the right to ask guests to be quiet and also to ask guests to leave without refund if they continue to disturb other campers.
We are situated a couple of fields away from the A30 and if the wind is in the right (or wrong) direction sometimes you can hear traffic noise . There is usually very little traffic noise at night but please be aware if this is likely to bother you.
We accept arrivals until 9pm, if you are going to be a little later then please ring / email to tell us so that we can look out for you and show you to your pitch.
We do not allow access to the camping field to pitch after 11pm, if you arrive after this time you will be asked to park in the car park (with access to the toilets) until 7am next morning when you can access your pitch.
This policy is to minimise disturbance to our guests who are already camping.
We cannot take under 18's camping without adult supervision.
We ask for a non-refundable 20% deposit on booking and the reminder of the balance 7 days before you arrive. In the event of cancellation due to COVID we will always try to move your booking and if not we will refund your balance if already paid.
If you have booked via Pitchup then we will again try and move your booking or refund your balance if the cancellation is due to illness, however please note we do not receive your deposit from Pitchup and therefore cannot refund any deposits.
We do not offer refunds for late arrivals, inclement weather, early departures.
